Let's talk about my newsletter title, "Is PHP the best choice for long-term business?". It's inspired by an article I read this week (which I've included below). If you ask me, PHP is like that one friend everyone thinks will fade away, but it never does.
I believe it's the simplicity and stability of PHP that keep it alive. But what do you think?

Elasticsearch is Open Source, Again - We all know about Elasticsearch; if not used it, at least heard about it. It had a wonderful and thriving community but had to go closed source due to issues with AWS and market confusion caused by their offering. Three years later, Amazon invested in their fork, market confusion was mostly resolved, and their partnership with AWS strengthened. Now, they feel safe to return to being an open-source project.
